Privacy

This website is run by Jean-Pierre Bergamin, Zurich, Switzerland (james@ractive.ch). Apart from two old pages (see below), it sets no cookies, uses no analytics and embeds nothing from other sites. What remains is the data any website needs to be delivered to you.

Hosting

The pages are hosted by hostfactory.ch in Switzerland. Like any web server, theirs receives your IP address, the address of the page you request, the time and what your browser sends about itself, and keeps them in access logs for operation and security.

Content delivery network

Stylesheets, scripts, fonts, images and videos come from ractive.b-cdn.net, the content delivery network of bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia). It delivers each file from a server near you, which may be outside Switzerland and the EU. To do so it receives the same connection data as the web server. Its access logs for this site keep no IP addresses. bunny.net processes the data on this site's behalf; see bunny.net's privacy policy.

Data kept in your browser

The tab-mcp examples keep their content, settings and the connection secrets for AI apps in your browser's local storage. It stays in your browser and is not sent to this site; clearing the site's data in your browser removes it. When you connect an AI app, the tab-mcp relay is involved: see its privacy notice.

Old pages

The old IQ test uses the analytics service Clicky (Roxr Software Ltd., USA). It receives your IP address and the pages you view there, and may set cookies; see Clicky's privacy policy. The archived HPComm website still contains the image of a LinkExchange visitor counter. The service shut down long ago, but your browser may still try to load the image from its old address.

Your rights

Hosting and delivery rely on the legitimate interest in running this website reliably and securely (Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The web server's logs are deleted automatically after a while; the CDN's logs contain no IP addresses. This site cannot link these entries to a person by itself.

If you send your IP address and the time of your visit to james@ractive.ch, I will check whether the web server's logs still hold entries for it, and send them to you or delete them. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or to the data protection authority of your EU country.
