Don't become a meat-proxy
I just stumbled across this post that is doing the rounds right now: I am done with this shit (via Hacker News).
I would feel the same if I had to work there. If a company culture decays to the point where only Claude-generated content is passed around, people will start to question their purpose, stop caring, get unhappy and probably join the "just press enter" Claude club.
More and more I think it's really important to keep human to human communication human. I don't want to read a Slack post that was written by Claude and sent from a personal account, especially when I can ask Claude about things myself. I don't want to follow a presentation created by Claude when you realize that the presenter is also seeing it for the first time. I don't want to read a 1.5 metre long Jira ticket describing a feature that the "author" who sent it can't explain in their own words. Don't become a "meat-proxy" (what a great coinage) that just passes Claude-generated content on to other humans, or feeds Claude-generated content from other humans back into Claude.
I know, I'm walking on thin ice here, and I'm sure you'll catch me doing exactly these things as well. But we need to find a way to push back on the ever-growing expectation of others that things should go faster - because there's AI. Some things just take time, and they even should take time, because someone needs to sit down and think about it, discuss it and explore it.
